Design Odyssey 2009 : Living Green
Saturday, February 28, 2009
Gerald D. Hines School of Architecture | University of Houston (map)
Living Green, what will the homes, communities and products that populate our communities be like in the next five, ten, twenty years? How will we as Industrial Designers influence the evolution
of Living Green as a whole, in which our day to day living is more in harmony with the earth? How will consumers change their way of thinking about the homes and products they buy from a cost
driven perspective to a carbon footprint perspective? Can the Industrial Design profession lead the charge and make significant contributions to Living Green? These are some of the questions that
will be explored at Design Odyssey 11 as our world heads towards new ways of living with the earth rather than merely from it.
