What is Big III?

Big III is the three sub-chapters of IDSA Texas: North Texas, Central Texas and South Texas. North Texas is made up of members in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and north of the Red River (Oklahoma and Arkansas). Central Texas encompasses members from the Austin area. South Texas is comprised of members from the Houston area and Louisiana. Collectively, the sub-chapters are known as the Big III.

Each sub-chapter sponsors one chapter-wide event a year, known as a Big III event. Central Texas holds its event in early March which coincides with the annual South by Southwest Interactive, Film and Music Festival. The South Texas' event in Houston is held in the mid summer. North Texas holds its annual event in the late fall. These three subchapters also host six business-oriented meetings and six informal socials locally during the year.
